Group Sales Policies

Weekday Matinees

Priority Seating

Groups will be seated together in the best possible seating available at the time when final payment is received. Prompt payment insures better seats for the morning matinees.
The final count for a group is needed 5 weeks before attending; final payment is due 4 weeks before the performance.
The seating chart for the morning matinee will be drawn up on the Monday before the performance based on when final payment was received.

If there are any accessibility needs within the group they are taken into account when seating the group.

Arrival and Seating

A History Theatre staff member will  welcome groups into the building. Group members will be asked to gather in the lobby until the History Theatre ushers are ready to escort everyone to their seats.
(*Those groups not arriving by bus will be asked to assemble in the lobby where a History Theatre staff person will welcome them once all members have arrived.)
Paper tickets are not issued for morning matinees; groups are escorted by History Theatre ushers into the theater and seated in their assigned seats.

Post-Show Discussions

A 10-minute discussion will follow each morning matinee during which cast members will answer questions from the audience.

If you are interested in having your group participate in a more in-depth post-show experience, please ask about Passport to History.

Concessions

History Theatre's concessions stand will be open during intermission. Food and beverages are not allowed in the theater during weekday matinee performances.
