Who can play?
Anyone with a smartphone.
Once I make my donation, how will I get instructions of how to play?
When you make a donation through the link online, you will receive an email from azeisel@historytheatre.com within the next 24 hours with instructions, a QR code and details about the scavenger hunt. If you do not receive an email with instructions, please check your junk mail folder. For more information, please email Anna Zeisel, Development Coordinator (email azeisel@historytheatre.com).
What is the theme of the Scavenger Hunt?
The scavenger hunt takes place in the historic Summit Hill neighborhood of Saint Paul. It’s part History Theatre trivia, part Saint Paul history, and part scavenger hunt. Questions about houses and locations will lead you to the next clue, and we always try to bring it back to History Theatre. Let’s see who has what it takes to get 100%!
If you need more information about History Theatre, click here to access History Theatre's archival website where we include a comprehensive listing about each show in our first 40 years! Just put key words in the search bar and see what you learn.
I participated in the Scavenger Hunt this past fall. Is this the same route?
Yes. This scavenger hunt features the same route and questions.
Do I need a team to play?
Play by yourself or bring a group of friends and/or family. All you need is one smartphone to complete the scavenger hunt.
How much should I donate?
Please make a donation that reflects the number of people who will play on your team. We suggest a donation of $20-$40 per person. We will email (the donor) instructions and QR code to share with their team of participants. Once you have the QR code, anyone with the Actionbound App can download the scavenger hunt to their smartphones. If you have questions please email Anna Zeisel.
How long will the scavenger hunt take to complete?
The route is approximately 1.6 miles. It could take you anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours.
Will the QR code needed to play ever expire?
Once you make a donation and get the QR code, you can play any time you want. It will be available to you for one year as long as you haven’t completed the scavenger hunt. However, we recommend you do it before it gets too cold, as it will all take place outside.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes, this is a fundraiser! Your total donation will be tax-deductible and you will receive a mailed acknowledgement.
Can I make a donation if I don't want to play?
Yes! We need your help, now more than ever, as we prepare to return to the stage safely. Click here to donate to History Theatre. Thank you!
