1899. A story of love, acceptance, and understanding. It’s December on Summit Avenue in St. Paul when Monica, a young immigrant, is hired by the Warner family to serve as a ‘Second Girl.’ Mr. Warner, a very strict Christian, has recently lost his wife and mother of his two children and this holiday season is particularly difficult for everyone in the household. Monica, who is Jewish, fears that if she revealed her Jewish heritage, “her secret and true self,” she might be dismissed from the job that she desperately needs. A stocking stuffer filled with humor, song & dance, and a joy-filled musical! A perfect tonic for our times!
